Beijing Golden Fish Hutong

Among so many Beijing Hutongs, the Golden Fish Hutong is one of the famous Beijing Hutongs. Golden Fish Hutong is located in Dongcheng District Beijing. It is on south of the Dengshikou Street and belongs to Donghuamen street office. This Beijing Hutong presents east and west line. It is from Dongdan North Street in east to wangfujing Street in west. In south, it connects with the Jiaowei Hutong and close to the Xitangzi Hutong in north. The totally length of the Golden Fish Hutong is 567 meters and the width is 12 meters in west corner.

Golden Fish HutongIn Golden Fish Hutong, there is the prosperous Dongan Market and Jixiang Theater in west corner. The Nafu covers one fourth of the east corner. The ancient Golden Fish Hutong is only a two zhang wide small Beijing hutong and there are ancient scholar trees on the two sides. There is the pitch road. Even though in such a poor Beijing Hutong, it is one of the famous Beijing hutongs.

Nowadays, the Beijing Hutong is wide and spacious. There are Taiwan restaurant, Peace Hotel and Wangfu Restaurant on the two sides of the Hutong. Go to the end of the Donghuamen Street and cross the Wangfujing, you will get to the famous Golden Fish Hutong. Now it is named Jinbao Street.

The Golden Fish Hutong is wider than the ordinary Beijing Hutong. It is 540 meters long. We can call it road. The famous Jixiang Theater and Beijing Donglaishun Restaurant are all here. The perosperous Dongan Market has north gate in this Beijing Hutong. Go to east, there is the Peace Hotel. It was the Qing grand secretary—Natong’s mansion. The middle part of the Golden Fish Beijing Hutong intersects with the Jiaowei Hutong. In this area, there is also the former Xianliang Temple.

The Dongan Market is on south of the Golden Fish Beijing Hutong. The old and famous Tianyuan Jiangyuan is there. The special roof in the Tianyuan Jiangyuan is unique in Beijing. You will feel comfortable there. There is no flavor of sauce and various vegetable flavors.
